Unwrapping GIFT: A Primer on Developing with the Generalized Intelligent Framework for Tutoring

چکیده

The Generalized Intelligent Framework for Tutoring (GIFT) is an open-source, modular, service-oriented framework which provides tools, methods and services designed to augment third-party training applications for the purpose of creating intelligent and adaptive tutoring systems. In this paper we provide a high-level overview of GIFT from the technical perspective, and describe the key tasks required to integrate a new training application. The paper will be most helpful for software developers using GIFT, but may also be of interest to instructional designers, and others involved in course development.
